Hi !
And, it is a very symbolic post & picture. Let me explain ...
Today, I had to travel to Flanders, for the funeral of an uncle of mine.
He was a 2nd World War Veteran.
Along the road, I came across these poppies bordering a field and made the link with the 2 big wars that took place in Flanders.
And remembered the first words of the beautiful poem by lieutenant-colonel John McCrae that I reproduce hereunder.
In Flanders fields (lieutenant-colonel John McCrae, 1872-1918)
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
. . . . . . . . . .
Here's to you, uncle Hilaire !

Hi !
Thanks for your comments, everybody !
And congrats to all participants in this bokeh topic, for your beautiful and interesting pictures.
Exceptionally, I have to post early my next contribution, because I'm taking exams tomorrow (pray for me, if you don't mind ) and I won't have time to post.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
So, I just had to take this picture.
Here's to you, uncle Hilaire !

Our Good Friend Rafael,Raf:
Canadians are proud of John McCrae, and most Brits and Canadians can recite the first line of that poem. The poppy is so important as a symbol of what happened in those dreadful times, which should not be forgotten.
Good luck in the exam - a prayer from me would not help much

The Bokeh thread is florishing
LAD Project Day #13
G1 + Seimar 135/2.8
Got this lens yesterday and it is a 10 blade preset lens in Exakta mount with a good bokeh, I think. Not very well known and therefore not expensive
Two photograph's today, sorry , because I like the first one but it does not give any info on the lens, therefore a second one.
- Through art on glass -
Thanks to the student who made this piece on glass, I just had to pass by and notice the bokeh in the background through the glass. This on really intrigues me, Michel. Really abstract with super shapes and composition

Liked your flowers with the CZ 25/1.4 cctv lens. Works wonderful.
It is almost summer and still no flowers in Canada?
