As Dan recently said in the Bokeh Thread, "Halloween has come and gone!". ... at least until next year ... GF1 + Lumix 20mm f/1.7.
Ocean, Leica 77 and Dan - very hard to fault the photographs from this wonderful lens.
Ocean, lovely light in that shot of the woman in period constume - and Leica 77 very dramatic Halloween shot.
I keep thinking I have a Leica cron lens for a fraction of the price.
I urge everyone to stop what they're doing right now and rush out to purchase this little wonder!
I can honestly say I agree about biglouis' 'cron comparison; it's even usable at f/1.7!

Hi Louis, Michael, Brian, Kevin, and Dan,
Wonderful comments and contributions honoring the compact Lumix 20mm lens. It is an amazing little gem for sure. The more I use it, the more I love the lens! It seems to grow on me like the crons that I treasure. Best,
(BTW, I used to have an office in the art deco building seen through the windows of the bus on the right!).
If your wallet can afford it and you don't already have it, then the PanaLeica 45/2.8 turns any m4/3rds with the 20/1.7 into a fantastic two-lens kit!
Thank you Louis. The 45mm end of the kit lens is slightly too short and dark (f/5.6) for me, so I've been using the Nokton thus far. The one you mention does have the advantage of autofocus though. Hmm ...
It's interesting, my feeling is that 45/2.8 gives nicer, warmer color when photographing people with 20/1.7 in the same light conditions.

GF1 + Lumix 20mm f/1.7.
I've really enjoyed the last year with this lens. Can't say I've had this much fun in a long time. It's been a constant companion on my E-P1.
Starts off in Hawaii in December 2009
Street Performer in Waikiki
Street Artist in Waikiki
Next Stop is San Diego in February
Organ in Balboa Park, San Diego
Statue at the USS Midway
Late Night on the San Diego Trolly
On to Arizona for Spring Break
In the Tower at the Grand Canyon
Dryrock - nice collection and I agree with the sentiment. I bought the GF-1 as a body for my m-mount lenses. I think I've maybe mounted a m-mount lens less than the fingers on one hand. I've rarely not used my 20/1.7 - except when I've used my 45/2.8 (possibly the best value for money lens I've ever bought).
Panasonic GF-1, 20mm f/1.7 ASPH G Series

"Hong Kong Star Ferry -- A Retro Look". GF1 + Lumix 20mm f/1.7.
"Vintage Marelli Electric Fan at the Peninsula, Kowloon". GF1 + Lumix 20mm f/1.7.
It glows and I like it
I know I posted this in the general fun with 4/3s cameras but they WERE taken with the 20mm f1.7. So for those of you who've already seen these...my apologies for boring you.

Life is an infinite series of moments called..."now".
My job is to capture them.
Had mine less than a week: iso400 1/400 f1.7 in my favourite Adelaide pub
"Wurlitzer Jukebox". G1 + Lumix 20mm.
Looks like an excellent lens to keep in my collection.
With my current medical situation the E-PL1 is a great weight and size to use. I started doing self-portraits yesterday with it and the 20mm. Love this lens. The idea is to reflect my current mood in my Facebook pictures.
