Pen Name Question

I realize that this is the MFT forum but I do use the E-P1 and have a question! I have a question about using a Pen Name for my photography. Do many photographers do this? I would like to use a name other than my own, for privacy reasons as well as making it sound more appealing. Anyone else do this? Is this odd? Any comments would be great! Thanks.

Dear Burning,
Sure it is done, but a pen name does little to protect your privacy since real names are used on all sorts of necessary documents associated with photography or a photography based business. Pen names may also be more distinctive and memorable which might also have the opposite effect, especially once your real name is leaked.
On the other hand, you could use a non-descript and common .blend-into-obscurity name.

Lol.....funny. I guess your right about it probably doing little to protect privacy in the end.
