Creating Textures for Blending

At this forum we have 2 threads that cover Blending in a very good way.

To make good blended images you need high quality and high resolution textures.

Here is a sample:



This is direct photo. I then use Photoshop to create derived textures.

Please share your way to create textures.

I like to photograph textures with Macro. Using the 5D2 because the texture should have a high resolution. I can make is more coarse texture by using crops but not finer than the original resolution.

Will try to have a macro lens on one camera with me now most of the time.
