New countdown on Panasonic site

Interesting that the site with the countdown on it has a picture of the "discountinued G1" on it

http://www.panasonic.com.sg/lumixg/

Then at the link below it says "Join us to celebrate the launch of our new lumix G micro (exclusive to the lumix G and L series)" and then it says "be the first to see our new range of camera products"

http://www.panasonic.com.sg/lumixg/register.htm

So definately a new range of G and L slr's coming out?

Perhaps the L will be the mirrored camera panasonic filed patents for earlier:

http://43rumors.com/ft3-panasonic-four-thirds-camera/

And of course there should be other cameras as they said "new range"

Yeah, that's what get on the Singapore links. 4/3 rumors is fine.

Not different than the EP curtain. I hope a "blendtec" advert does not follow it. :ROTFL:

FWIW, in sg, things are done differently, it would appear. How many would be filling in their Social Security Number (or its equivalents), etc to attend some product unveiling?

everyone knows that certain "review" outfits are already busy to churn out their standard fare...

If these camera companies issue pre production cams to such outfits and are getting their feed back to fine tune the final products what does it say about them?

strange, i cant view the links too now :(

There were details about a event in singapore that panasonic was holding and a information registration form. Perhaps its a Singapore only event so Pansonic blocked us see it by using regional IP address blocking?

I wish I took screen shots to post for everyone

Vincechu, If that rumor ("back illuminated" sensor) comes true, I sure would love it. :p I will get a few- one for UV/IR, a couple for Visible.;)

Let us hope that it would come true.

I agree Vivek =) The G1's good but the back illuminated sensor is really interesting - especially as it says its more sensitive to light, thats an area the G1 and other Pannys can definately improve on ;-)

By the way I just noticed your location is the Netherlands? So i'm presuming you know Dutch? If so here's the original dutch website - it might make more sense in Dutch thanthe poor google translation

Back illuminated sensor sounds expensive though :( ;)

I have said this here before. The G1 was under priced.

If I can buy a G1 with a back illuminated sensor, I am willing to pay according to the performance in addition to the versatility.

Mind you, I am very, very conservative when it comes to cameras and especially the short lived digital ones.

Yes, that flew by... last time I looked it said 15 days... now only 14 hours. Strange to release it in the early hours of Sunday morning?

Cheers

I'm going to the PMA 2010 this year since it's just up the road from me, so hopefully I'll get to see some of these new products in person. Can't wait!
