Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum but would like to introduce some videos I've made. I use the Micro 4/3rds format for video more than I do photography now.

Here is my latest: http://www.vimeo.com/10324588

This was shot in Taiwan, along with this at a local city centre temple:http://www.vimeo.com/9176830

Any criticism, thoughts and comments are welcome even if you don't like the videos I want to hear what you think.

You can read the behind the scenes blog here: http://www.eoshd.com/entry.php?16-My-Latest-Panasonic-GH1-Film-Longshan-s-People

The GH1 is so good for video I have decided to sell my 5D Mk II. It's such an awkward camera to use and I dislike the issues it has with moire and aliasing… lots of false detail in the image, really hard on the eyes.

I think Micro 4/3rds has a strong future, and I love the lens adaptability. This video was shot in anamorphic widescreen with the Panasonic LA7200 lens: http://www.vimeo.com/10039537

Cheers - Andrew

I just watched the first video which I really liked. Nice music with it. Will make may way through the others.

Welcome. Really, really nice videos, and I enjoyed the write-up you did as well. I haven't done much video with my GH1, but I may try some one of these days.

Thank you, glad you liked my videos. The great thing about the GH1 is that you can give videos such unique looks because of all the different lenses that can be adapted. I shoot 80% with adapted lenses and just 20% with Panasonic lenses, like the 14-140mm kit and 20mm F1.7

I plan to use a c-mount Cooke filmo and Bell & Howell Super Comat F1.9 for some videos, as this creates a look no other camera is capable of at full HD, and a look entirely different to the 16mm film cameras these lenses were designed to be used on. Radial bokeh looks amazing.

Also the Contax Zeiss lenses - both 35mm SLR and G rangefinder lenses - are probably my favourites on the GH1.

Andrew, I had seen Longshan's People earlier on Vimeo and liked it enough I had shared it with some friends. I'll be watching as you explore more with the GH1.

I just went and watched the Longshan's video. I like the black and white/ color combo. The last scene as the woman prays and then answers her mobile really is a sign of the times. Surprised you could film there.
