Well, I just returned from a trip to California. Here is a sampling of the photos I took:
All shot with my Lumix GF-1, 20mm f1.7:
The conference I attended was in Sacramento - not the first place that pops into one's mind for beauty in California. But, the state capitol's grounds were certainly abloom...
I loved the way the fallen petals carpeted the ground under these trees.
This one reminds me of a city in Europe, not Sac:

On the last day, I stopped to have lunch in San Francisco. I don't usually go in for these kinds of Photoship techniques, but it just seemed to fit this shot from Chinatown so well:
