Though I am not sure why G2 needs to be heavier than even GH1 (385g as per dpreview).

From the Panasonic website:

The G1 body weight without memory card and battery is 385g, the lens weighs 195g.

The G2 body weight without memory card and battery is 371g, and the new 14-42 lens weighs 165g

Dpreview sometimes can be as bad as Ken Rockwell :ROTFL:
