Post your photos depicting stuff that's dead, dying, or simply falling apart. Here's a few to get things started:

Panasonic GH1 + Fujinon-EP 1:3.5/50 @f/11; 1/160s @ ISO100

Dragos, The Fujinon-EP looks to be working well for you.

Carl, IIRC, isn't that one of the first images you showed here when you first got your G1? Still fabulous to look at.

I have shown this earlier on the IR thread:

Hacked G1, Pana 20/1.7, Hoya R72, IR polarizer.

Great photos everyone! Please keep them coming. I was afraid the topic would be too morbid, but I think part of the artistry of photography is to capture how things are, and not just the happy moments.

Vivek - I love that Fujinon-EP. I've never thought it was possible to be inspired by a lens, certainly not a $20 one, but this one continues to amaze. I bought the 135 version as well, but it's too long of an FL for field work. I might get the Nikkor 63 for a bit of extra working distance over the 50 if I can find a cheap one.

Dragos, Save your pennies and forego El-Nikkors. ;)
Just wait to afford that APO Componon HM?

I'm surprised that you don't have a favorable opinion of the EL-Nikkors actually. You're normally pretty pleased by Nikkor lens IQ. I know there's differences in build quality (some have 4 elements, others have 6 elements and better coatings).

I have all of them, including a never heard of "Ortho El-Nikkor 105/5.6".

Are you a collector or fondler? Go for El Nikkors. ;)

Yes, thanks Vivek. I did post that shot quite awhile ago and now that the old door has been completely boarded over it has lost the character it once had. Nice detail in your shot of the poor, deceased duckling.

One of my favorite subjects, urban decay can be quite fascinating in the development and history of a city:
