Generic batts on the GF1

I've read about a lot of people complaining that the Gf1 doesn't take generic batts. Can anyone confirm?

Far as I'm aware, the no-name batteries sold by BestBatt.com work fine:

Some folks have reported that ones they already had (fine in the G1/GF1/GH1) did not work with the G2, but that was before BestBatt.com updated the website to include the G2. Presumably they've revved the batteries now for compatibility.

There is a firmware hack that gets around the battery issue...while also providing some interesting video options.
