Is anyone interested in buying the cute little 12.5/12 stereolens Pana have made and doing 3D video (vieweable on a Pana Viera TV) with the G2 or GH2?

Interesting. How big a still image can one expect out an already tiny sensor' area?I don't think you can shoot video with that lens. I think it's only for stills.
Assuming the 3D lens covers the maximum width of the sensor, the highest resolution you could expect would be 1/4 the sensor size. So 3MP in 4:3 for the G2 and 3.5MP (in 16:9) to 3.9MP (in 4:3) for the GH2.Interesting. How big a still image can one expect out an already tiny sensor' area?
Also interesting is the fact that the lens' focus is fixed and is into diffraction limits at f/12.
Perhaps more interesting is the fact that they were demonstrating 3D (at photokina) with their regular video cam (and its stereo attachment) and not G2 or Gh2.
Interesting. and one needs a Viera TV to view them. Panasonic rocks!:ROTFL:3D capture will be limited to 3D photos; 3D video capture will not be available.
Lens is only usable for G2 and GH2, other cameras are too slow.
Don, Trust me, you will look really cool in those 3D glasses.Crazy stuff! I spent my entire life converting 3 dimensions to 2 dimensions...
Now they want me to go back to 3 dimensions....
I'm old, confused, got a headache... and not interested...
Enjoy Vivek... If there's something happening with this stuff, I'm sure you'll figure it out...
Too bad. I wonder why they can't/won't enable video recording.3D capture will be limited to 3D photos; 3D video capture will not be available.
Sounds like bull**** to me. I wonder what would happen if you just attached the 3D lens to one of the older models? What could possibly be so hardware intensive? Combining the images post-capture? Seems like Panasonic is purposefully making their older models into damaged goods.Lens is only usable for G2 and GH2, other cameras are too slow.
You cannot use Lumix 3D lens with other cameras, because there is no firmware update to use this lens.Sounds like bull**** to me.
