Oil on micro 4/3 lenses blades

Hi,

I just bought a used Panasonic 14-140 lens and I was wondering if there is any way to verify that the lens' blades are oil-free.

Thanks.

Hmm. I never heard about a problem with oily blades. These lenses aren't that old and there may be a few only with any diseases at all.
I don't have the 14-140 but I know the Panasonic 20/1.7 can be mounted, set to smallest aperture and then with the DOF preview button pressed unmounted again. Doing that will keep the blades closed and then you can look at them.

I believe all manufacturers stopped using oil to lubricate iris blades.
