That term usually has a different connotation here in Detroit, but I was driving through downtown Detroit this afternoon, shooting out the window with my GF1 and 20/1.7, probably in violation of two or three provisions of the Motor Vehicle Code.

Interesting photographs. Particularly of interest to me as I have been teaching my Economics students about the impact of globalisation and we looked at a programme which was a case study on Detroit. A city which has been through some truly painful times. The empty Boulevards in your photos communicate some of the dislocation which has taken place. Thanks for sharing.
