Jack Frost's design. Panasonic G1 with Olympus 35mm Macro, handheld. This shot was of an area of the window about 1.5 inches across. I've posted a full-size jpeg on my Flickr site if you want to see it more detail.

On fire
Standing in the fire, lit itself, burning everything, donating new life. The conflict that tears so many archangels, can shake his firm belief. Life and death, so close together. The one can not exist without the other. He bears the Archangel, firm in the faith, in the midst of the flames, knowing to serve the good, holding his sword of flames. ![]() Olympus E-5 + Zuiko 12-60 SWD, noNR ISO100 @ f3.5, 1/200 second, 13 mm focal length

Kind of an old bearded codger look to this guy. Olympus EPL5 with M.Zuiko 60mm. Explored my kitchen counter top for 30 minutes til he wandered up the wall to the corner of the ceiling.

Re: Fun with 4/3rds cameras/ Image Thread
Hi all.
I normally work in Iraq but just got back from a few weeks in Afghanistan, I took my trusty GF1 with me to see if I could grab a few shots whilst out and about. Kabul is a surreal place to be, a palpable threat, armoured vehicles, guns everywhere and life going on as normal in the background. This shot was taken from a vehicle, outside the main refugee camp. I converted it to B&W and like the feel although the colour works well too in my opinion. ![]() Cheers Mat |

Re: Fun with 4/3rds cameras/ Image Thread
Uwe, I just thought YOUR lovely rural scenes could use a winter counterpart. And we have LOTS of winter here in Nova Scotia this year. I'd be photographing more of it if I wasn't shoveling it so much.

At railway stations, it's important that all signs have an identity that is consistent with the core business. This from Thailand's deep south:

Here's another, same station, different style
![]() E-1, probably with OM Zuiko 100mm f/2.8 ![]() When I look at these photos, it strikes me how "film like" the E-1 was, grain and all. This is at ISO 800. It's almost like having a film camera with an unlimited number of frames.
