I love the birds Ric. Just a beautiful capture of that first.

Have you looked at the site Monza linked to with the wonderful bird photography? (Sunset Cafe) If not, you really must---you will love it.

Thanks, Amin and Ric. A little to the left I shot the following, and rendered it in B & W for a different perspective:

So glad you did this alternative shot. When I saw the color shot (somewhat different perspective), I immediately wondered what it would look like in b&w--like this very much.

It's the start of a cold and snowy weekend. I felt motivated to make an image. Found this and it reminded me of Europe:

    I agree--it has that feeling.

Gosh, snow--today we were out working in the gardens and getting the pool ready to close in our shorts LOL. NOT that it will last long--we've had killing frosts already (and torrential rains for the last several days), but just one day like this in the middle of November--heaven.

Leica S2 Demo Day at Glazer's Camera

Brad, the Leica Rep, and Amy (S2 wizzo) were in Seattle today with the Leica S2. These photos are with half a Leica. GH1; 50mm f/1.0 Noctilux-M. A "bear" to focus at f/1.0, handheld. The S2 was easier. Just for fun (and I was having fun with my MFT), the last is the S2 raw file as imported into LR 2. Cheers.

I loved my E510 and if it wasn't for its inability to handle highlights, I'd have never sold it. You've got some nice shots here!

It's Colorado Springs, this is one of the giant sandstone rocks in the city park 'Garden of the Gods'. These red rocks are said to have been on the ocean floor eons ago and were 'stood up' when the Rocky Mountains rose, pushing the sea back to it's current boundary, the Gulf of Mexico. They also say this is at least the 2nd set of Rocky Mountains, and possibly the third set. Each set having risen, been totally worn flat again by erosion, only to rise again...
