    Jono,

Beautiful shots with the 12. However, please stop posting these. I sold my m4/3 stuff a while ago and I don't need another camera right now.

Re: Fun with 4/3rds cameras/ Image Thread

I went to Picton (about 90 km south-west of Sydney) for a pre-dawn and sunrise shoot. It was a great morning with a very warm 1 degrees temperature and a lot of fun - well worth the effort.

I was playing with my new Olympus E-P3 coupled with my sweet little Voigtlander 25mm f/0.95 lens and this is what I came up with pre-dawn...

Hmm, I cannot wait until there is a RAW filter for Adobe Camera RAW as it is a pain using the Olympus software (mainly because I have Camera RAW conversions down to an "art-form")

I went to a Civil War encampment in Milford, Michigan.
Shot mostly with my G3 and 45/2.8 PL. Here's one sample, still processing others.

Been away for a while, to Sapa, Vietnam. It's a long journey in every way, and the place leaves a strong impression. It's tempting to use many words, but I'll let the photos do the talking.

I brought two cameras, the GH1 and the OM-2. Here are some with the GH1 and assorted OM lenses plus the Pana 7-14.

I like this one a lot. The composition gives one just the heart racing feeling one must have running over that bridge and capturing them running with the bright umbrella---a coup.

I've obviously been missing some terrific work on this thread. Rather than go back and single each one out, just saying really nice work everyone. I need to keep up with the thread LOL.

I know I did pick out two but I absolutely agree. When debates are raging about cameras and kit this thread reminds us that it is the photographer and not the camera which is key.

Very nice, Klaus. One day, I'll figure out what's going on there

Thanks, Diane. Time and timing, crop and lens. The most limiting factor is time. I could spend a day or more, only taking photos of people crossing that bridge, or any other bridge, but people start wondering, those who ask themselves what this weird foreigner is doing there with his camera and those who expect me to return to where I'm supposed to live, and sometimes work...

It is very changeable Brian. It wasn't raining this morning. I was originally going to go about 90km down the coast but with high swells and no guarantee of reasonable weather gave that a miss and was going to head into the local national park but when I got there the causeway river crossing was flooded and the police were turning people away (well at 5am I was about the only 'people'). I then went to one of the closer beaches and got loaded my Voigtlander 25mm f/0.95 on the E-P3. To do something different, I jacked up the ISO to 800 and got this very clear 2-shot panorama.

Cronulla from Shelly Park Beach ep3v by peterb666, on Flickr

That was taken between 'first-light' and sunrise. Without Adobe Camera RAW, I struggle with the hightlights and I have probably made the image a bit too bright anyway but the noise is non-existent. In those conditions, noise was always there in those conditions, even at ISO200.

Re: Fun with 4/3rds cameras/ Image Thread

A small summer BBQ party was an occasion to get out and play with my new GF3 and 12mm lens.

It was especially hot today and I was not very motivated to move around much... so I decided to see what I could capture while seated in one place.

This one is a very heavily cropped image from the wide 12mm FOV.

I'm really happy with the performance of the GF3 and the 12mm f/2.0... total keepers! Can't wait to see the results from the RAWS... these were from the JPG files.
