Hi All.
Was a hot day today at the airport, went outside to capture some storm clouds and snapped this also.
ATR 42 lands in the hazy heat of the runway as a private jet waits for departure clearance.

ISO 100 1/250th F8 150mm

Also shot these two, this one of some mounted police. The black horse doesn't look happy, maybe cos it don't seem to have any ears!!! I Never saw this when i lived in north London.

And, i was practicing panning. Ok its cheating as i was in a car but it still has motion blur.

Thanks J

That's a borage flower Dan (edible btw. and nice deco on salads...). Funny that an electrical engineer would know that....LOL (thanks to my grand dad I have to admit who teached me a LOT when I was a kid)

Cargo Ship 'Celerina'

GF1 with Carl Zeiss Sonnar T* 90mm f2.8 -- ISO 100 -- f2.8 -- 1/1300

A lot of grain is exported through the Port of Seattle. It is interesting to see the ships arrive in Port high out of the water and watch the process of being filled with grain and depart with there hulls buried in the sea.

Klaus, thank for pointing out the name of the flower!

I attempt to look them up but at times it is like finding a needle in a haystack!

Brian, great shots from your walkabout, a little different from some of the wonderful landscapes that you post.

Mattlazz, a beautiful shot of a sunset, nicely done. Also the bow shot with the figurehead and rigging is a wonderful photo.

Keep 'em coming!

Riley, I love your two landscapes, the colors are wonderful in each of the shots. Which camera & lens were you using?

Olympus E3 with 50/2 Macro:
Ocean, all three of your flower shots are outstanding! Love the colors and detail in all three and the bokeh in the second and third photo is a nice soft blur.
