Olympus E-5 + Nikkor-H 85mm f/1.8
ISO 400 @ f/4 @ 1/500 second

Mostly a learning weekend ... a new (old) lens, much longer than what I've been working with hand-held in the past year and some. This old Nikkor is still a fine performer.

thanks for looking, comments appreciated.

Pretty happy with what I'm seeing out of the Nikkor-H 85mm f/1.8!

It seems that you are already making very good use of your new vintage lens, Godfrey ! Very nice BEE-EM shot !

Today is the first day with some sun and some light, so I'm just back from the garden
where I was testing what I can do with an uncommon lens I bought a few weeks ago.
It is a Dreamagon 90/4 made by Seibold, a short-lived German manufacturer.
It's essentially an Imagon for 35mm cameras.

This lens will have a steep learning curve for me, I think.
This is the only pic from the shoot, that I'm +/- happy with :

I'm specifically looking forward to your comments on this one, since I'm not very sure which way to go with this lens.

I have already rebranded the lens into "DavidHamiltonagon", Godfrey.
However, my call for young ladies has been unanswered so far.
So, I must limit myself to nature and flowers for the time being ;)

LOL! Like the name.

Yes, some work with figure studies is in order. Offer money. ;-)

Godfrey,

Excellent shots, my friend!

It's so nice to see photography that truly shows humans caught in the act of being human.

Thanks for sharing the link.

Here's what I love with the GH1/7-14 combo: press conference, 10 seconds available from the last team member was seated till the MC pushed me back to where I should be, 7mm and Xpan mode, backed up towards the wall with the LCD as viewfinder. It's a snapshot, but it's a snapshot that I wouldn't have been able to take with most other cameras. Jpeg out of the camera. No cropping, but slight brightness adjustment on the left.

GH1 with 7-14mm @ 7mm and f/4

Re: Portrait

Way too much gear
That's as maybe but after making this portrait you'll know which lens to keep.

This is a wonderful image that conveys so much more - that far-away gaze tells the observer how little the dinner meant to her.
Perfect black and white execution and how that tiny glint in her eye captures one's attention shows a master at work.

Thank you Woody.
