    Fun with the Olympus E-M1

Well . . I've tried to get someone else to start this thread . .. but they won't.

So - as some kind of consolation that my camera hasn't arrived yet, I thought I'd start the thread.

All you lucky people who have the camera - let's see the snaps. . . .

No, but I'm sure it's just a matter of days... My new workstation (Dell M4800) arrives tomorrow, so I'll be keeping busy in the meantime.

Jono's expression probably is due to his figuring out how he will clear up the EXIF so that it doesn't show that he is shooting with a Leica M typ (299). Which is probably issued only in pink alligator leather.

What a One you are Scott . . of course it's not pink alligator leather - it's green or yellow.

. . . . and for those who would like to see the expression in all it's grizzly detail:

Don't know why that would be with LR. I've got my sample E-M1 raw files in Lr5.2. Be sure you're on the GM release, not the Release Candidate.

my mistake re. lightroom; i had the camera set to jpg+raw and the card is showing both. C1 only sees the jpg's, LR only shows the image, no extension until you roll over it, then it shows .orf

Re: Fun with the Olympus E-M1

was lucky to get an E-M1 yesterday

first thing i really tried was focus peaking using Cam's Noctilux

initial impressions are pretty favourable... cant wait to get back to Belgium and revisit my legacy lenses

Sadly no RAW support yet in Aperture, so these are JPEG with minor tweaks

With the 45. Nothing special but this shows me that the 1 holds onto detail better than the 5 did at high ISO (1250).

I spotted this whilst preliminary testing my new EM1.
It is a Coprinus Comatus or "Judges Wig" (English Judge of course!!) fungus.
Shot with an mZuiko 75-300 lens on the EM1.
