Is the G1 available body only?

Actually, the electronics and optics package for the EVF take a fair amount of space, hence the hump on the G1. Here are some images.

Couldn't they put the hot shoe where the pop up flash resides? or better yet, include the EVF within the camera at that top left position?

i'd like a second body but have no need for a second kit lens and have not found a seller who sells body only.

any one else have any luck with finding a body only seller?

My dealer was willing to do so but the difference was so minimal ($60) that I went ahead and bought a second kit. I reasoned that should I ever want to sell the G1s, I'd have a complete set. For now, the second 14-45 sits unpacked in the box.
