Yes, Irident gives very sharp, clean 16 bit output and it includes the downsize to 40 MP in the process. RPP will also process the HR raws, but it yields full 64 MP output and does not downsize to 40 MP.



edit: I just downloaded the Olympus HR raw plugin for Photoshop and it also produces a 64 MP file- looks good, but minimal processing control.

This is Mac only if i understand correctly. But second 43rumors, Olympus has issued a PS plugin to handle the HiRes shots.

Iridient downsizes because it seems that's what Olympus recommends in general. The 64 MP file may not be all that different from an upsize from the Iridient file, but at least the sample you show doesn't seem to have too many draw backs vs the Iridient (sort of like the Iridient color better).

The 64 MP file of RPP64 shows more image areas surrounding the 40 MP Iridium or OOC JPG file in my experience.
