Haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere so thought I would mention that Raw Developer by Iridient Digital (Mac Only) does a great job with G1 files. All in all my favorite Raw software developer.

Hi,

it's been several weeks since I took pictures of our orchid
But now, it's flowering very well again (it's a keiki), so I put the G1 in front of it, with the Nikon 50mm f1.4 attached to it.

This is the result :

I hope you like them !

Lovely picture but the contrast seems muted compared to images I have taken with this lens on my Contax RTS III? I am sure it could be corrected in PS CS4 but that is my observation. All in all, though, a very lovely image.

Hi Rafael

one of the things that I too like about my G1 is that it works so well with older manual focus stuff. I've been using extension tubes (which are cheaper) and getting great results too:

and stuff in the field which I couldn't have done back with 35mm (composition and live view flexability). I could never have chased this bumble bee around ...

and I probably wouldn't have "wasted film" on trying stuff like this either

(of course some may I shouldn't have wasted space on it ;-)
I didn't like what APS did to my lenses (espeically as I had a lovely TS-E 24 which became a useless TS-E 38 on a 20D) but I do like what can be done with the Micro 4/3rds stuff.

Of course metering is just a simple setting of "shoot with lens off" and camera in Av mode.

Great :)
