In general I very much prefer lenses having the good bokeh in the background. The Pentax 50mm lenses with good foreground bokeh and ugly background bokeh always drove me nuts.

Here are few more samples of 50mm. This time its a big tuna - Schneider 50mm f0.95.
All shots are at f0.95 except last one which was shot at f2.
Nice shots, Photomorgana, using the fast Schneider lens. My image was recorded by Lumix G1 + Summicron M 50mm during my recent conference travel to Macau. Thank you for looking. Leica 77

Leica77, I like the bokeh and sharpness of your summilux. Which version is it. E43, E46, Asph?
Many thanks for your positive feedback. The lens is a Summicron M 50mm (E39). One of these days, I hope to purchase a Summilux M 50mm lens. The bokeh seen in your images are extraordinary!!! Lecia 77
Hi Leica 77,
Thank you and I like your pix a lot, especially the first one, great composition and bokeh. Sorry, I thought you have the Lux. But Cron is not bad at all and maybe even sharper at f2 than Lux at the same aperture. I was wondering if there is a big difference between Asph and pre Asph Luxes, in sharpness and bokeh. Id think sharpness should be better, but bokeh might be worse with Asph version. One day I might afford both and see for myself
I said no more flora somewhere LOL--but here on the farm they are the most accessible. G1 with FD 50 f/1.8 at f/1.8
Here are couple of photos taken today (the same day I finally got my adapter ) These are from walking on the Burke Gilman trail to Trader Joe's here in Seattle. Yes we finally had some sun.
All of these were taken with the Olympus Zuiko 50mm macro lens.

Diane : very nice shots
bavanor : welcome here, and lovely 2nd shot !
Thank you f6cvalkyrie. It seems the second shot looks oversharpened now that it has been uploaded to this site. Though all that broken glass was sharp
One from last night, using 50mm f/1.5 Nokton on Panasonic G1:
Strictly speaking, I should have waited until her back arm was more aligned with her front arm... but I was afraid the moment would get away.
And for you pixelologists, something to peep:
All I can say is that if those big-dollar Leica 50s are significantly sharper at full aperture than the Nokton, they must be pretty darn stellar...
This one is with the Nikon 50mm f1.4, @ f4
This landscape was shot today with the Nikon 50mm f1.4 @ f4
Seems like a flowery enough page to submit another....
Using Schneider Xenoplan 50mm f2.8. Good Lens that damn hard to focus. I need a heliocoid later on.

Yes, more flowerish shots :sleep006:
Just received this lens today. It was late with not so much light, will have to check some more.
Very sturdy lens with smooth focussing. Shot wide open.

Really like that Deepdiver! Very smooth rendering. Must be a Louis Vuitton bag in the back. Fits your gear
Anyhow you got me inpired to try something like that with the Industar 50mm.
Klompen uit Holland (wooden shoes from Holland), Matruchki from Russia
G1 with Nikon 50mm f1.4 @ f2.8
Really enjoyed all the new posts. Nice and diverse, as usual. Raf--was there supposed to be another photo of that post--wooden shoes??
G1 & FD50 1.4
still trying to get a hang of how to embed images
Konica AR 50mm f/1.7 on G1. Spring blossoms at f/8.
Time to put some new life in this thread. Went out wit my VC Nokton on my new Jinfinance adapter. Focus on infinity is not perfect.
Fits very nice on the G1 and it is not bigger as the kitlens.
Some with a Pentacon 50mm 1.8
Lots of glasses. One out of focus (with some colourtricks in Lightroom) and one more or less in focus.
On a fleamarket I walked into a 50mm 2.8 "aus Jena" zebra lens in Exakta mount for € 6.-
Adam's favourite garment!
Here's mine, shot with a Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f1.5. The lens arrived today (a birthday present!). Wide open, no crop.
some close-ups from my garden, all with G1 & Nikon 50mm f1.4 @ f8
Today, two close-ups of a spider. First time in my life that I take pictures of insects ! Maybe, it will be time for a macrolens
Both pics made with nikon 50mm f1.4
Enjoy your day off !
Just a bit ago, on the 40 f/1.8 thread, I started to post that I found it interesting that I rarely shot with a similar FOV with my 5D or my other Canon bodies (similar as far as a prime goes would be my 85 f/1.8 for the 5D). I found I was about to lie LOL--when I did a metadata search in LR. How soon we forget LOL.

these are not really worthy of being published here, they are just the first shots using the new Leica R - MFT adapter from JR with my trusty old 50mm Summicron - works just fine, infinity is also perfect. Pictures at f2.0, jpgs straight from the camera, one in the shade, one in the sun.
G1 + Konica Hexanon 52mm/1.8
You are a genius with the flower shots. You have a wonderful eye and thus your images have great composition and the colors are just wonderful.
It is so interesting to me that the color palette of the G1may be the best in the industry (DSLR's) today. I love my D3X (just getting used to it actually) but the color palette is not as subtle as the G1.
Great stuff girl
Just popped in to look
Lots of lovely shots.
Godfrey - the two black and whites are fabulous
Cindy - love the columbines - excellent.
Raf - I think you'd better buy that macro lens!
Just this guy you know
