Brain, IMHO, your landscape shots in color are splendid (or is it gobsmackingly good?).:)

Thanks Vivek, but now I'm confused  aren't we in the B&W thread?

Or do you mean my toning of the B&W shots above?

Cheers

Brain,

The lush greens of English country side and what you do to capture them.

They work best in color. Only my opinion, ofcourse.

It's true! I use Silver Effex. Do i need to sign up for a twelve step program? I've done B & W in Lightroom, Camera Raw, CS4 and Lightzone also. Silver Effex seems to provide the most control. Cheers.

I haven't posted in a while, but I'm hoping the GF1 will get me out shooting again. Here's a quick grab during the commute to work this morning. Shot from the hip. Converted in Silver Efex.

Fordfanjpn,
Nice. Strong perspective and composition. Like the way the faces are down, up, down. Strangely empty train for Tokyo. Thanks for posting. Cheers.
Thank you. I go in quite early in the morning to avoid the crowded trains. But even so, they can still get quite crowded even at that time.

Black & White pics, show yours, eh?

Wow, well done, just caught the thick of it there Keith. Perhaps under your name it should read "Most Senior Member" rather than just "Subscriber Member" :D

So if it wasn't an M9 or Speed Graphic, what "gear" did you use? ;)

Gentlemen - thank you for your kind words ;)

I took this with my own hands with the G1 and the kit zoom. I had an excellent vantage point. Stay tuned to the G1 with 14-45 thread for a color one which I am working on now. Lots of blood.
It is taken at the wonderful "Panorama" building in Sevastopol, where you are in a viewing theater similar to a planetarium with a 360 degree view of the battle. It's a mix of artists rendering and 3D props, which makes the photo look like it was taken live at the battle. Fortunately photography is allowed and encouraged.

Uhmmmm . . . . do you think my image could be inserted into the "Street Photography" section.
I guess there are a few cities in the world where the streets look a bit like this . . .
