Both. It was ~4pm on a friday and he was oblivious to everyone around him.

    Nice street shots, everyone.

There aren't any streets where I live, so I do rail shots.

    AH! PUNishment.

A state highway, no pedestrians. I was lucky to get a guy with the weed whacker.

I put the 110 lens mount into an old compur shutter that had been gutted. I think it was a shutter for a Rolleiflex, so the aperture was setup for a 75mm lens. At its smallest opening it provides 1/3 stop more than f/11 for the 18mm lens.

This post is where I origionally described it.

    http://forum.getdpi.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10061

ChrisJ also has a post about using Waterhouse type stops on a 110 adapter.

    http://forum.getdpi.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10483

I should read my own post. The Rollei shutter was my first attempt, the finished product was a KoniRapid (for a 50mm lens).

On our walk this morning. I live in a city of millions (Toronto) but, fortunately, there are some lovely parks. This is the Rouge Valley, situated at the edge of the city, but still easily reached by city bus.

    Best regards,

M3photo: Thanks for commenting. The size of the MFT cameras and the compact zooms lend themselves to snap shooting. a little visible cigarette smoke would have been good; and, what are they talking about? Cheers.

Brian Mosley: The middle portrait's charming. I like the angular distortion. The detail-less black furniture strengthens the composition and focus the eye on the girl's face.

Vivek: I really enjoy your street photography. Teddy bear photos's cool. What's a Fujinon-TV 50/1.4? Is it a lens off a television camera?

Thanks for both of you sharing your work. Cheers.

Matt, Fujinon-TV lenses are in c-mount (I use 25/1.4 and the 50/1.4- both need modifications in order to be used with a c-mount adapter on a m4/3rds cam. I am supposed to show how those are done but haven't gotten around to it yet. ) I bought them for ~$20 (25/1.4) and ~$35 (50/1.4).

Here is one snap from today using the 50/1.4 (similar weather now in the Hague as to the pacific north-west.).

Vivek, I love this one. But I have been holding back - I think it meets the 75/25 rule on the bokeh thread - this might be the second portrait there.

Thanks. The camera did get wet. I wonder how weathertight a GF1, or a GH1 is? Anybody done a torture test? Got to be better then a Leica M8 and a lot less expensive if it isn't.

Nice B & W. I especially like the last one. There's something about a sidewalk cafe being stacked up after closing that's evocative of the hours before when it was open. Easy to imagine the people, drinking wine, laughing. Going home, maybe a little sad it's closing. Cheers.
