The V designation only came into use when Hasselblad brought out its newer H series,

I didn't appreciate the the "V" designation came into use with the introduction of the "H". So I guess 'blads are "V", X-Pan or "H".

"Probably the largest selection would be on evilpay (ebay.com)."

KEH.com also....probably the safest place to buy if you are unfamiliar with Hasselblad pricing. Very few "great deals" on Hasselblad on ebay careful watching and waiting can save a few hundred $$$ but there is a lot of junk being sold.

My lens line ups are simple but effective for all my purposes. For film and digital capture I use the leaf shutter lens (3.5/60, 2.8/80, 4.0/120, and 4.0/180). They render very beautiful images in film and in digital sensor. I recently bought the 555ELD from ebay which I always wanted one but was not able to afford it until now. The camera works nicely with all the lens I own. For film capture only I use and prefer faster lens (2.8/50, 2.0/110, 2.8/150, 4.0/250, 4.0/350) with my 202FA camera.
