Thanks Leif! Yes, the M-Rokkor 40 is a delightful lens: very small, very light, and beautiful sharpness and rendering. They go a little less expensive than the almost identical Summicron-C, and the second generations like mine (originally delivered with the Minolta CLE) have the advantage of multi-coating.

It and the Nokton 40 are great on both the M4-2 and the GXR ... :-)

    Lovely work, Dan!

Been too busy at work to do much photography the past week or three, but things are beginning to lighten up. One project down, another to go ... :-)

Maggie, I really like the red chair. Did your Coolscan have to go into Nikon or did you just not get it back up since you moved?

Very kewl Cindy. My wife especially loves the pink bike. I love balloon festivals, so I love those shots, especially the first one. We'll be attending Snowdown Balloon Fiesta next weekend in Durango, CO.

Re: How about more and more fun with Leica M? (Film)

Thanks, Lloyd. The pink bike was what drew my attention first. The girl stopped in front of me and got off the bike. Then she pulled the little dynamo out of the carrier on the back. Audrey took off and chased every gull and duck off of the beach. Did you noticed her jeweled "Audrey" collar?
I hope you have a great time at the balloon festival. I'll be looking forward to some photos from it.

That's too funny. I hadn't noticed the collar. I won't point that out to my wife, as we have too male dogs who would hate me forever if I gave her any ideas.

Cindy, the Audrey pic is really fun.

I was a bit worried about winter for a while, but finally it arrived, a bit mild so far, but still. This is my wife and daughter savoring the last bits of orange during a ski trip last weekend.

Jorgen, I don´t know why you insist on all that heat. Snow´s waiting.

I recently acquired a Canon 35/2 LTM which has become my main lens. This lens is making me smile every time I develop and scan my negatives. It has this character which I find lovely.

On earlier versions of OS X it didn't seem to work as well, but I'll give it a try as it's all I've got now, apparently.

Thank you Cindy and Araakii. Yes you are right Cindy, this canon lens really draws beautiful photos. This has been my everyday companion since I got it. Tried working on colors but there is really something with black and white that makes me consider it more than of the colored shots.

I've used Vuescan exclusively for scanning since 2000, never had any problem on any version of Mac OS X ... ?

Jeex, I gotta get cracking and process some more of my Leica M film exposures. :-)
