The first images almost looks IR. That said this is a very special place and I'm glad I saw it in the winter with snow. How's the water level now that LA isn't using it as a source?

Don

PS were these with the P40?

By the way I tried to get back into Bristlecone however the road had about 2 feet snow and was blocked by 2 vehicles so even in the jeep I couldn't go around; ended backing up in my own tracks several hundred yards before I could turn around.

I was is Bishop for another reason and a storm rolled into town.
So I decided to get up before dawn and go to the lake.
I have never been there with clouds, sun, and then rain all within an hour.
The 1st picture and the 3rd are sequential shots one looking west the other east,
and the last was maybe 20 minutes after the first, no sun and rain a minute later.
It was an un-planed photo adventure, I had the Canon 5d and one zoom lens
Wished I had the P40 with me.

The next day I went up to the Bristlecone Pines.
There was a little snow on the road above 11,000 feet last week.
Hard to get winter pictures that high.
