I find it fascinating that in communist Vietnam, the parasols protecting the traffic police from the elements are sponsored by commercial vendors :)

Angkor Wat. They do keep that place clean. I could need one of those cleaners around here...

When wandering around among thousands of tourists, it's easy too forget that the temples in the Angkor area are still very much places of religious significance.

There are places in this world that are so different from other locations that it's difficult to leave, simply out of fear that it will not be there when the possibility to return arises. Kampong Chnang is such a place. Simply out of this world.

Kampong Chhnang is such an amazing place during the wet season :)

I heard music coming from one of the temple buildings in Phnom Penh and went inside.

And then there was this tourist who had hired a bicycle and thought it was ok to say yes to one kid

Jorgen, You have got a wonderful collection of images from this part of the

world.

ReeRay' s contributions to the thread shows me the opportunities that

await photogs if one is lucky enough to travel and or live in such magical

places.

I am thoroughly enjoying this thread. Thank you for starting it and

keep it going. And to the others for their input.

Regards.

Thank you for your kind words, Rayyan. Hopefully, I will be able to travel around in this part of the world for many years still, but I would also like to take a few trips across the ocean to see more of your part. My only visit so far didn't leave much time to see anything but cars driving around in circles.

Where are we going?, I asked.

You said dinner sir. I know of an excellent place. Said Ari.

Hotel, room service, Ari.

You will love this place sir, continued Ari. Pure pampering.

Private dining rooms sir. With a small pool. With Lotus flowers and leaves.

Why?, I asked.

To cover yourself sir..the leaves.

Hotel Ari, I said. We start early tomorrow 0500 hrs.

You are very quite sir. Said Ari, a little concerned.

Not quite Ari, I said.

A little sad. I continued.

Miss home sir?

No Ari. Sad that you hold such a low opinion of me.

0500 hrs Ari, I said getting down.

Last week was the time for Bang Saen Speed Week, the 2011 edition, postponed from November last year due to flooding. To give some relief to a world that apparently suffers from a severe cap shortage, the good people from Pizza Company and Liqui Moly handed out a truckload for free.
