2nd scan,this time a 1250asa triX 35mmneg.The scan seemed to show a highlight bias almost to the point of solarisation,does any one have any idea why this might be?Thanks,Neil.:confused:

Hi Neil, is the neg overly dense (overexposed)? That could cause some problems with highlights.

Hi Lars,it is a little thick,Ive down loaded a trial version of vuescan to see if it can do a better job,regards,Neil.

Sometimes an overly dense neg can give very flat highlights, is that what you're seeing? Or is it a purely digital artefact? Also, if it's not too much work, if you could scan the neg as positive (no reversal) and post here it would be easier to analyze the problem.
