Lasers in light show can damage sensor

Interesting, and thanks for sharing the alert. Still not sure why a shooter would want to point directly at a laser, but I guess it can happen in some circumstances. The real effect of the laser light show is generally looking away from the source, not at it. I have recently shot some "party pics" where the DJ had a laser projecting around the room, and it was a challenge to light subjects without looking overblown, and not losing the effect of the laser patterns at the same time. I would have been a very unhappy camper had my sensor gotten the treatment seen in the video clip.
