Here is a shot from this afternoon. One of my first shots in my new home studio.
Canon 5D. 17-40L

Testing out the Fotodiox Pro adapters for Hasselblad V to Canon and Leica R to Canon today, on my 5D. Neither of these adapters is chipped for focus confirmation, so I wasn't sure how closely I was nailing the focus (with the stock 5D screen). Turned out better than I expected, but it's sure a lot easier to do this on the Nikon D2X or D700 (with the Hasselblad lens/adapter).
One of these days I need to find a new "test subject".
Hasselblad 80mm CFE lens
Next two images are with the Leica 50mm Summicron-R (ROM)

I hate to admit it, but more often than not, it's the mundane things in life that catch my eye.

Here's another recent shot of mine from last weekend. I was testing the Leica 50mm Summicron-R on my 5D with a Fotodiox Pro adapter (no focus confirmation chip).
I took a similar shot with the Nikon D700 and 50mm f1.8G lens. It looks very good too (especially factoring in the $219 price of that lens), but on balance, I do like the color rendition of the Canon/Leica combination just a little better.

Try This Bed For One Night...
Those last two images are very powerful and moving Steve.
They bring so many aspects of life in focus and to the fore. Well done.

Those are freakin' awesome, Steve. Man, I covet the leg muscles on that Russian woman!
Lovely set Steve, you're on fire, keep them coming in!
I don't care what gear I have.

Here's something a little different (from me anyways!). Spring has arrived and the geese, ducks, swans and gulls have returned. I passed by this pond and stopped to check out the waterfowl. This pair of geese was close enough for a decent photo. While I've always enjoyed bird watching, I don't really have the gear (or necessary patience) for bird photography.

I had to take mk3 for loan and i have to say im impressed with the new af system.. and by the look of the photos they are much better than mk2 . Dont know why did dx0 mark score so low mk3.
Still quite alot of snow on the Kenai peninsula mountains here, but the frozen lakes and rivers are melting. Spring has arrived and summer can't be far away.
