Without a legend there is no way to compare charts.

A guess would be that the chart for the new lens has dropped the two lowest lpm count curves, which would make the new lens a slightly better performance, MTF-wise.

Slightly being the operative word. Assuming like the old charts the thicker lines are 10 lp/mm and the thinner 30 lp/mm and the charts is for WO (it'd had better be...) it looks like a modest tweak. As for how it does stopped-down, it looks like you're supposed to guess. Sometimes they just can't seem to get out of their own way.
