At this time of the year we photograph poppies in our backyard. We fine the best combination to capture them is our 60D and the 100mm f/2.8 IS Macro.

I need to find some poppies. I saw the daffodils in bloom this weekend but didn't really see poppies. I love to photo them. These are really nice.

I like the 2nd with its soft folds and soft receding focus. Too early for poppies for us here in the southeast but we have had jonquils for weeks--somewhat unseasonably.

This year is not a great poppy year as it is too dry. Hope we get some rain so that I can photograph them with water drops.
