Just a few blocks south east of Shimbashi station, after three separate occasions of being offered a "special" massage at a good price (I am told) along my walk, I arrived at the Tsukiji Market. Although the market offers fruit and vegetables, it is famous for its Fish Market, the largest in the world.

Ice, a critical commodity at any fish market

All sorts of seafood here

Tuna is very valued here, this is about a $15,000.00 specimen

The Tuna auction starts at 5:30am sharp

After the end of the auction, nearby there are several sushi restaurants offering breakfast at 6:00am.

Many locals take in these sights, besides us tourists.
Here, a cool couple look for some fresh sushi after a tour of the market

Bob,
I enjoyed the tour. I'm wondering how you could eat after that?:ROTFL:
What equipment were you using for these? My favorites are at the empty station.

Oh my, you went back to the hotel for eggs and toast!!! You missed the best part of the market which is having the some of the freshest sushi in your life from one of the small restaurants lining the market. And cheap too. By 8:00am there are lines out the door.
