Hi Lee, my G1 may go a little way to financing the X100... along with a DP1, an R1 and some other bits and bobs - time to have a tidy up! :ROTFL:

Lots of great shots here. I feel rather odd as an ex-X100 shooter, don't regret my decision, but I'm glad to see you all producing such great results.

all the best

Fantastic work Joe... really love your first shot - a classic.

I had my first chance to play with an X100 today... oh, no - I am sold! only a matter of time before I'm joining you guys here :D

Cheers

Brian
I fully concur with your comments on Joe's excellent work, I also enjoy looking at your work Joe.:D

Brian, you would be most welcome to join the fun too! Though the X100 is hardly a "wild life" tool unless you intend to capture some of the street wild life in the UK!:ROTFL:

Lee, the Sony R1 will have to go... I'm not using it at all - and thanks Dave, this will be a secondary camera for silent, low light shooting at my favourite perspective :)

Cheers

Looks nice!

Who would imagine, that their is almost white sand on your island ;)
There are several beaches of varying size with this white sand along this section of the South West coast. Actually mostly composed of crushed sea shells. Much nicer than that muddy sand you get elsewhere in the UK!!

You should come over for a holiday!

I keep reading horror stories about the X100 not focusing accurately, having a sluggish and esoteric UI (actually, I can probably live with that) and so on and so on... and then coming back here to see the results you guys are getting - so difficult to make the right choice sometimes. I will definitely be getting the E-P3 and prime lenses, but they don't do a high grade 17mm f1.4 yet :deadhorse:

Keep 'em coming folks... I'm loving the images here :salute:

Focus is good for me but my subjects rarely move. UI is actually very good, especially after recent firmware upgrade ...

I am certainly enjoying it ...
