What is fascinating is the talk of this "organic" sensor. The name is a misnomer.
Most are, in fact, very carcinogenic. Almost as potent as the stuff that would come out an automobile exhaust without a catalytic converter.
These (organic sensor components) are synthetic chemicals (plastic components) that are far removed from "organic" as in an organic vegetable. I had spent most of my academic life on such. Good to see them coming into application, in what seems to be a very short time after the advent of "organic" LEDs (OLEDs). The OLEDs components are pretty similar in terms of electricity being converted to light (and vice versa in an "organic" sensor).
Apparently and not surprisingly, Panasonic also has a patent on these "organic" sensors.
