Thanks, Robert. I will wait for some more time to see what he comes up with. Thus far, it is touristy stuff. That is not without its bonuses.

That cab shot shot would not have been possible for anyone other than an obvious tourist!:)

Unfortunate title to Zack's last piece... if you glance at it, it reads something very harsh and which I certainly disagree with!

I love the photography though, especially the character in specs - somewhere in this thread I think, someone asked for examples with 'pop' - I think I found one!

Cheers

The harsh contrasty sunlit sample? Those are easy to produce with any and every camera/lens combo. Even the worst of the worst lenses tend to produce very decent images under such light. I could not understand the quest for such.

No, the 5th image down, B&W portrait of the old chap with goggles

Ah, that one.

Brian, FWIW, that is perhaps the most photographed face from Mumbai.

Google: Britannia and co restaurant mumbai (oh, yeah!)

Funny, I thought this thread was about a camera and its performance, not the image...

I found the photographer's impressions noteworthy.

I think this camera just needs to get widely released already.

Perhaps dpreview would be more to your liking? :banghead:

I'm interested in taking and seeing images from this camera :D

Hey, I am with you. I was chastised for thinking the image was important. Now I am chastised for thinking it is not. (I could not find the sarcasm smilely.)

I'm not sure what can be gleaned from reduced resolution web images. As Vivek stated, the India pics could have been taken with any number of cameras. I also made this comment earlier in the thread...lots of cameras can make similar images.

The question really is, would one rather carry a big DSLR with big fat lenses, or a much smaller lighter kit that gives equivalent or better performance; i.e., IQ.

Ah, Robert . . . that depends entirely on how you define 'PERFORMANCE'

Back to definitions!

But equivalent is equivalent. :)

indeed :ROTFL:

Nono - that won't do
If you mean Image Quality (which I assume you do) then you should say that. Performance implies all sorts of things (like AF speed etc. etc.)
