Thanks. I have the whole X family except for the XE1, so I couldn't resist getting the X20. It does seem to perform quite a bit better than the X10.

    Storm passing Cadillac Ranch

Took this shot when I was in Amarillo in July of last year.. just getting around to doing a bit of post on it. Shot with the X-Pro 1 and the 18mm. Post in Photoshop CS6

A storm was passing just to the west of the Cadillac Ranch early in the morning and the sun caught enough of the distant rain to produce a partial rainbow.. almost as if it was competing with the colorful graffiti on the cars. I would have to say that nature was the winner.

Thanks for the information - did you reduce saturation at all, or some other tweak? I find the colour and atmosphere very appealing... or is that more to do with the place that you were visiting?

Re: Fun With The Fuji X100s

I did absolutely nothing special: saturation / luminance untouched, white +20, black -40, so I think the pleasing light comes from the natural light on a cloudy winter day.

The 18-55 is a stellar lens, I have mine on the XP1 80% of the time (rest is 35).

Looking forward to get a 14

I had the pleasure of watching the Lions beat the Wallabies in Sydney this weekend. I also enjoyed using my X-Pro1 & X100s with my 8mm fisheye and 55-200mm.

I have no idea! The stadium was full with nearly 84,000 people until the last 10 minutes of the game when I swear that a quarter of the aussie crowd left before the end.

    8mm Rokinon fish eye:

These folks weren't happy as we scored another try just before the end - that's one mean stink eye going on there. Unfortunately I was changing lenses when the entire row upped and left as they all had a very similar look on their faces.

    then the next minute ...

Btw, the 55-200mm works pretty well plus also stadium lighting and AWB were pretty much perfect I think with the X-Pro1. It worked a lot better than I expected but it's certainly no Nikon D3s with 70-200 VR II!

Re: Fun With The Fuji X100s

Good afternoon, situated below some various sample shots from the x100s that I've had for the last month or so. I've been very surprised how versatile this camera has been. I've been opting to use this in scenarios in which I would of only used my OMD (DSLR prior that).

Lloyd: Thanks! I was pleasantly surprised. The sailboats weren't on my side of the lake. I needed a telephoto (or a 24 mpx M).
