    Jars of Light

While sitting in a local BBQ joint I noticed that they had used old jars to create a rather unique lighting system.

One of the reasons I carry the XP1 with me when travelling light... no pun intended.

Re: Fun with the Fuji X-E1

I am wondering why the thread "Fun with the Fuji XE-1" and "Fun with Fuji X 1 Pro (Do I spell it wrong? I thought it is X-Pro 1)" need to be separated. They share the same sensor and lens. The quality of photos are supposed to be exactly the same.
I think the difference between the quality/look of the Nikon D800 and D800E which is minimal is probably more than the X- Pro 1 and XE-1.
Can we combine the threads? It will save time for people like me who don't see the difference to open only 1 thread instead of 2.

    Thanks

    LLoyd;

Started with the 18-55 and 55 200, they would work great for a private shoot, but this was a group shoot under florescent hot lights.

So, I shifted to the 35 and the 18 ..... amazing lenses.

    Thanks for the kind words.

Thanks uncle pramote. I appreciate it very much.

Now, I have been thinking to start traveling. One problem, though. Got to get me a travel partner. Just like nano and jadoo.

All the forums I visit is full of oldies..drop me a line and let me where to hang out..you know what I mean...

Re: Fun with the Fuji X-E1

So I got my self a X-E1 that I will use as a scooting camera when I check out new landscape.
I bought it after looking to a number of on-line pictures from the camera.
And what got me sold was that I in some pictures saw a resemblance to how my P45+ draw the pictures.

So I bought the cam and both zoom lenses. And it was all that I was hoping for.
There is the same "Gestalt" to the pictures from this system as from many of my different lenses for my Mamiya cameras.

I think I must be the only owner of this camera that is totally uninterested in the prime lenses for this system
I got more primes than I care to count for my medium and large format systems.
So now I just wait for the wide angel zoom and then I have a perfect, small and mobile system.
It is always nice to confirm, that what I bought was exactly what I was hoping for.
That does not happen to often...

    Ray

    With the long zoom.

Trying a little different workflow.......Capture 7 to PS to LR. Takes a lot longer, but I think I am getting a "cleaner" image on a calibrated monitor.

Hard to tell though on a re-sized jpeg.

The XE-1 just arrived the other day. I'm supposed to keep it and compare it to the Sony Nex6 and decide on one and keep it. Well, ain't happening...I'm keeping both.
