Very nice, Rich ~ more, please!

May I ask what adapter you use with your Contax G 45? I'm getting interested in using my own Contax G lenses but haven't a clue about adapters. It'd be neat if someone could offer one that would autofocus them, but that could take a long time, couldn't it...?

Anything to share about the quality of images of these Contax lenses compared with similar focal length native lenses? AF would be a big plus for Fuji lenses but I'm still reluctant to sell my Contax ones.

    All the best,

    Irenaeus

Still just working with the JPEGs, waiting for AccuRaw to fully support them (2.4.2 should do it), or C1, but here are a few:

I walked by a photo shoot in London (Oxford Street, I think), and snapped this one.

DO NOT sell your Contax G lenses. I was fortunate enough to have my 45/2 modified to a M-mount.......and it came out well (after a long process).

I have looked at this website:

    http://www.japancamerahunter.com/ser...ns-conversion/

and am going to send him an e-mail regarding a conversion of the Contax G 90mm.

Our oldest just completed basic training for her army service. For the swearing-in, each soldier needs two essential tools. Here they are being collected just before the ceremony for one of the units. Our army is very secretive, and normally cameras are unthinkable, but for this ceremony every family showed up with at least one camera and two cellphones. The scrum during the ceremony was worse than the press gallery during an election campaign. I have pixelated the face of anyone in uniform.

And the after-party was quite enjoyable as well:

Today was overcast and grey here in midtown Anchorage. I had the X-Pro1 and 14mm lens with me. I rarely use the 14mm. 45 minute lunch break. I decided to take a few quick pics of this new CIRI office building. It has some interesting architectural features (at least, by Anchorage standards). I like this solarized B&W version better than the original color photo.

Street? With a Fuji? Whatever will they think of next, old bean.

It ain't the latest. Many compromises, indeed. Or so they say. I took it out for a drive on the streets of Xian. And I got really lucky. Just on the street was a Buddhist Temple.
    I went in.

And guess what? I found someone, I knew a long time ago...small world indeed...

Lucky me running into her. Else, no street for me..eh!

    Thanks Lloyd, Reeray.

They said there was a village destroyed by a volcanic eruption up there. The volcano was not really dormant..there was some activity going on!!

The whole area was covered with volcanic ash..even remains of the village buried under.

My wife, walked up the hill. Me..took some time deciding what to do? Fear and flight, came to mind.

With extraordinary determination, courage, skill born out of a lifetime of fleeing, I rented a scooter. And sped passed my wife..

    Thanks Reeray, Alan..

Just wondering...if expensive camera sensors corrode; what chance here?

Horsing around. The two horses at the back are gossiping: how disgraceful she is, showing her private parts. The dwarf horse walks away shaking his head.

Looking ahead towards an exchange of B&W and color diptych prints in August. Still trying to figure out how I want to approach it. This is an early attempt. In this particular case, I started with a single image that seemed like a good candidate for splitting in parts (thanks to the shallow DOF at f1.2) and I then processed the two images differently.

I found this article on diptychs. There are so many interesting and creative ways to approach it.

    XT1 and XF 56/1.2 lens....at f1.2.

Back from a 2 week tour of Europe (some of it) on the Bike (Motorcycle). I don't shoot much when in riding mode but when we stop in the evening or have an odd 2 day stopover I will get the camera out. I wasn't really in shooting mood all holiday but managed a few that captured the places o.k. All are in order of shooting and I used X-E1 & 18-55....

Thanks a lot folks. Mighty gracious of you all

Lijiang, PRC. Highly recommended. Get yourself lost in time. ( and the crowds, nowadays! ). But there is always a quiet time..before the crowds. But stay inside the old town. Get up early, or go late.

Known as an artist's town. A lover's town. A painter's town. All true.

The hotel I was staying in, had a booklet ' A Taste of Lijiang '. It was all the types of tea one could phone for. Free, of course!!
