Didn't know which thread to post this in, but I know I'm gonna have fun, so I thought I'd post it here...

My 23mm f/1.4 arrived today, so I just mounted it on my X-Pro 1 and I'm about to head out the door...

My X-T1 is coming next week...

Portrait in my now very mini studio.
Single Hensel upper right shot into a corner wall.
The hidden wall to her right is the fill reflector. :)

Used my X-E2 as am STILL waiting on my X-T1 order, sigh.:banghead:
At least I may get a light sealed T1!

Manual focus with my Olympus 35mm Shift lens @ 2.8

Used C1 for Raw processing, still not very pleased with Lightroom.
I wish Phase would have native film sims for the Fuji's.
And how about a manual setting for Croma and Fringe?
Oh well; using the Astia ICC profile for film simulation.
I really like it!

Bloody Hell Nathan; Your buying Fujis so fast there's nothing left for the rest of us! What do you think of the Fuji Flashes? Worth picking one up?

hehe... well I have had the X100 since a little while after they came out.. and that got me started... Got the X-pro 1 as soon as it came out and have been testing it out as a viable back-up 2nd system to my hasselblad instead of my canons the last two years. With the arrival of the X-T1 i believe I can ditch the canons for about 95% of the jobs where i would have used canon either instead of the hassy or with the hassy. The last bit of the puzzle I needed was a super wide angle, and the 10-24 delivers! One of my regular customers produces portacabins for all kinds of specialist areas and some are very small inside so I need wide angle... the 14(21) would just not cut it. (and my 28mm on the hassy is about the same fov as 21mm) I just today shot a very small cabin at 10mm and its just perfect. :)

As for your question about the flashes... this is one area where Fuji needs to make improvements imo.
I have the EF-42 and the EF-X20.
The little EFX20 is a little gem of a flash with very nice output and great as a fill flash on the X-Pro1, but is somewhat handicapped by long recycle times partly due to the daft choice of AAA batteries... but its always in my bag just in case :)
I got the EF-42 for when i want more power and want TTL. Its an OK flash, no more no less. It makes that good old squealing noise when recycling which os gone from most modern flashes and compared to my canon speedlights its not as powerful and doesnt have the same about of FEC available, only one stop up and down. Manual power is easy to control though. I am very used to manual flash so when I need more power I have my canons and of course my profotos for when I really need the power :)

But it is cheap compared to the canons... I am just hoping Fuji come with a better built more powerful speedlight with more functions. i also want them to do away with the silly function that turns off the hot shoe when you are in one of the continuous drive modes... not something I use every day, but when i need a burst I need it...
