Wow, how did you grab that shot, considering the lethargic AF?

Congratulations. Enjoy.

Yes, my dealer was so "kind" to supply me with the full set, including the optional grip which in my view is highly recommended.

Nice smooth bokeh. Is that wide open?

I guess others know what it is, but I don't recognize it at all.

Nice shot Ario.
Can you comment on the cameras handling and performance.
How is the focus speed and accuracy?
Looks to be a great travel kit, finally a replacement for my Contax G system.

I will use it for a couple of days before making any comment.
I have first to familiarize in order to remove most of the operator's error.
This is my first Fuji after about 15 years and at least the dual viewfinder and the associated focussing need some practice.
I will be back.

Ario, that is a "Leica'ish" shot if ever I saw one! That lens is superb, the 60 macro is also considered to be very, very good.

Summicron 50mm f2.0 with Kipon lens adaptor. The adaptor can adjust at infinity and is well constructed.

Lovely shot. I am only curious, as I am not remotely interested in buying an X-Pro 1 (I may be lying) and my beloved X100 is not yet a year old but what is the procedure for obtaining accurate focus with 'legacy' lenses? I understand you can set the OVF frame lines according to the lens focal length but presumably to obtain good focus you need to use the EVF?

Unless it is a 'landscape' situation and you are able to 'zone' or hyper-focus using the markings on the lens?

re: Fun with the Fuji X ___!

Sadly, my X100 will be wringing it's way back to Fuji for a replacement lens assembly tomorrow... Hopefully that will permanently solve the sticky aperture blade problem. At least it failed within warranty

Strangely, I only checked it because auto white balance went cold and it had to go in anyway.

Cheers

Brian

Yes, for legacy lenses you need to use EVF and you can magnify image (8x-9x?) by pressing rear dial. It will switch back to prior view mode (OVF, EVF or LCD) by pressing rear dial again or by half pressing shutter release button. Unfortunately, Pro 1 will display framing guideline for legacy lenses up to 35mm. Beyond that you have to use EVF for framing and composition. This is from my actual using the camera as I haven't read the manual yet.

re: Fun with the Fuji X ___!

It looks like a bit overexposed still I used -0.67 EV on the shot. It was a very bright sun on the flowers. So next time I will try to go -1 EV lower (-1.7). It is not the cameras foul but the photographer foul for the overexposing.
