Hardly so. Both have their own set of issues. LightRoom still has some color crawl, even in the latest version.Funny. Looks to me that latest LR version is way better than Apple's rendering ...

Indeed LR still makes the images look like watercolor paintings...There's a pretty striking difference in foliage at 100%, but I think there's even a difference in foliage detail at a "regular" screen size, too. The Aperture crops seem more detailed in the foliage, and they don't have that painterly look. They look more normal.

Preview does too - Apple's RAW support is at the OS level.and..fwiw...iPhoto recognizes the fuji raw files
I think I was mistaken, not sure what I was looking at the other day, maybe some JPGs processed by other s/w in my test folder by mistake. Today, at first glance, Aperture rendered RAWs do look better in the foliage areas.Funny. Looks to me that latest LR version is way better than Apple's rendering ...
