Capture One Support (or Lack of) for X100S

Just received my X100S, and I am really impressed with its capabilities, flexibility, ergonomics and jpeg output. Unfortunately, as a Capture One user (V7.1.1), I am disappointed to learn that X100S is not supported by C1, while the X-Pro1, X-E1, etc are supported. I assume this is due to the differences in X-Trans CMOS II 14bit sensor in X100S vs 12bit sensor in X-Pro1, X-E1, etc.

I have submitted a support case to Phase One requesting raw support for X100S. Anyone using Capture One and anticipating raw support for X100S and/or next round of X-series cameras might consider opening support case with Phase One to request raw support of the new X-Trans II 14bit sensor. (Phase One states on its support forum that requests are important on determining priorities (i.e. if they have 30 requests for raw support of new Pentax model vs 4 requests for Fuji X-Trans II...)

I would hope that since they've done such a great job with the X-Trans sensor so far that the new X100s will just be a slight change - perhaps even just some metadata support since I believe the layout is the same and that was the hard part.

Soon ... I'll add a support case too.

works on LR 5 and Aperture 3.4.4, at least for me, John.
Aperture can be my fall back approach, since I have used it and know its capabilities and foibles. However, having fully invested in Capture One over the past years, I would really prefer to not have a dual raw processor workflow . For now, I will shoot raw + jpeg (fine), store the raw for future handling and work with the jpegs. in my limited work with x100s, it has consistently produced great jpegs. Time will tell what Phase does...

Thanks for adding support case. I hope that is isn't too difficult given the current X-Trans sensor support. We will see.

Phase One support officially added the request to their feature request for next version.

Anyone else interested is recommended to create a support ticket asking for X100s support. They're listening.
