I bought it new in the USA in November, 2006 and have had no difficulties with it EXCEPT for the mandatory recall we all experienced over Christmas, 2006. (Leica replaced some circuit board at the factory.) Yes, I believe there is a way to determine total shots but I need some guidance to figure that out. I'll look in the owner's manual and research it further tonight.
