This is a sharp, compact, relatively inexpensive Leitz lens. I've taken some of my best pictures with it (on an M8), but I recently got a good deal on a 90mm M-Hexanon f/2.8. No need for two 90s, so the Elmar is for sale.

Includes: lens, front cap, rear cap, hood, UV filter, lens bag (not pictured)

Asking $285 inclusive of shipping and paypal, CONUS only.

Condition notes:

Barrel: in great shape, just a few "pecks" here and there. You only see these if you're looking for them. You might be able to tell from some of the photos (esp the one where the lens is laying on its side). Focus ring is smooth and apertures click positively.

Glass: seems fine to me, only a few stray dust bits inside. I've gotten nothing but good results from this lens. I find it to be incredibly sharp.

Accessories: the original rubber shade is in perfect condition, and is still soft and pliable. The original Series 5.5 UV filter seems to have a slight coating "wipe", but it hasn't shown in my photos. The rear cap has cracks that I've glued back together (again, you can see this where the lens is laying on side). The front cap is a Rodenstock cap from a parts bin that works well enough, but not perfectly. If you can find an original, more power to you :). The Leitz lens bag is in good condition.

This is my first sale here, but I've bought two Zeiss lenses and a Pelican case here. I have 100% positive feedback under eBay username 'mathomas' (same as here).

Yes, there's a link to my flickr account at the end of the text of the listing. Here it is again:

Especially, check this one out:

Look closely at the lenticular cloud right above the mountain, just left of center. And also to the right of that, near the small cloud about 1/3 of the way from the right hand side. Those tiny black specs are birds! I checked in the 100% crop, and could tell that they moved across the sky as I took a series of shots from that spot.

Hmm, maybe I don't want to sell this lens :).
