I have upgrade fever, so here is my 15" MacBook Pro:

Unibody, late 2008 model - the last one with user-swappable batteries (2 included). It's a 2.53GHz, 4GB RAM, 160GB/7200 RPM drive, expresscard32 slot with Delkin SD/SDHC/MemoryStick reader. I covered it in ZAGG clear skin the day I bought it, so no scratches anywhere. Glossy 1440x900 screen. Covered under AppleCare until November 30, 2011. Fresh install of Snow Leopard. Perfect working order, never repaired, dropped, or spilled-on. Original box with all accessories.

Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro5,1
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.53 GHz
Number Of Processors: 1
Total Number Of Cores: 2
L2 Cache: 6 MB
Memory: 4 GB
Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz
Boot ROM Version: MBP51.007E.B05
SMC Version (system): 1.33f8

Upgrade fever price: $1234 including the spare battery, shipped in CONUS.

Sure ... now you show up. Where were you two weeks ago when I bought a new 13" MacBook Pro for almost the same price? ;-) If I only needed another one. By the way, the specs are almost identical except your processor is .13 faster. Good luck with your sale.

Sorry, Aboudd. :)

FYI - B&H has this model listed for $1569 without AppleCare or the card reader.

Come on, B&H doesn't list 2008 models. Whatever 15" model they have is current.

There may be some confusion on the B&H site -- the late 2008 model has a 2.53 core-duo processor, while the "current" 2.53 GHz model has an i5 processor. What the exact differences are between the core duo and i5, I don't know for certain.

Thanks Frank! That's a great resource.

According to that site, my computer:
Original Price: US$2499
Est. Current Retail: US$1350-US$1550

My asking price: $1234 including 2nd battery and SD card reader

Re: FS: MacBook Pro 15" Unibody, 4GB...

A few people have asked if I would accept less. The answers are:

1. I can knock off $75 if you don't need the 2nd battery.
2. Offer me some Leica or Canon gear as part of the deal.

Thanks!
