+1 on getting a used APO 77. I have one with zoom and fixed eyepieces and it's absolutely fantastic. Aperture rules! Good price at the Leica Boutique site. Good people to work with.

I think you will be hard pressed to get one of the new Leica scopes used. You might try birdforum.net or astromart.com if you haven't been there already.
