I bought this setup to shoot events with my Nikon D3 and find that it's just not the setup for me. I love the distance of which it offsets the Flash from the lens, and the ease in which I can change from Landscape to Portrait Orientation. I'm going to go with a less expensive setup so I can put this money towards another film body. I shoot events, but not all the time and would rather put this towards something that I can use all the time.
I could also sell the NIkon TTL SC-29 Chord which is basically new for a package price of all three items @ $290.
That's a savings of ~$100 + tax!

It's a fantastic setup to use your D3 for weddings or events. I'd say the best, it also allows for one to carry the D3 by the vertical part of the bracket which gives you a nice handle on the setup. The quality is top notch, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
